USA Propaganda: "HAQQANI NETWORK" is actually "OSAMA" and "SADDAM" reborn

If we consider the history of America, we shall definitely come to know a rule they have frequently used: they always create THEIR men in every part of the world, and after using them, dispose them off like trash.
We saw this quite recently in the case of Saddam Hussain & in the case of Osama bin Laden. Earlier, the same happened with Gen. Zia ul Haq, the former president of Pakistan. The case of Shah e Iran was no different. After taking full advantage of them, the US used them as scapegoats to cover their failure.
Now in the aftermaths of the Afghan war, the US is finding another scapegoat and this seems to be Pakistan. By blaming the links of Haqqani network with Pakistan, they simply want to blame us for what they have failed to achieve in Afghanistan. In reality Haqqani network is no different from Osama Bin Laden or Saddam Hussain used by US in different times.
___________________
Let us consider each of them separately:
Saddam Hussain had been America's blue-eyed - clearly evident from the" neutrality” America acquired during Iran-Iraq war. In 1979, after Khomeni revolution a number of diplomatic hostages of the US were held by Iran. Carter’s administration also wanted to seize control of the oil fields in Iran and they could not have done this by their own marines because this would mean stimulating the Soviet Union to act under UN charter and stop America's progress. So, they looked towards Saddam who seemed to be pleased with this support.
An article written by Francis A. Boyle published in the Washington Post in February 1986 suggested that AWACS stationed in Saudi Arabia for alleged purpose of defence travelled to Iraq to tell the movement of Iranian army. After Regan came to power in 1981, his foreign minister Haig wanted a "policeman" to secure American interests in the Gulf region and that they thought was in the form of Saddam Hussain. Regan's government removed the name of Iraq from the list of countries that were allegedly supporting terrorists and this helped in selling of dual use equipments to Iraq like Lockweed C 130 and helicopters that were definitely to be used in the OTHER way.
The same Saddam Hussain turned out to be a pain in the neck when he attacked Kuwait and tried to gain Atomic power ultimately leading him to be a declared (falsely) a holder of "WMD'S" , leading eventually to his execution. A blue eyed of Regan’s administration turned to be a thorn for Bush's administration as after disintegration of USSR, he was not that much needed.
Osama Bin Laden - "A COLD WAR VETERAN" - came to fight against the Soviet occupied Afghanistan in 1980s. He fought a CIA funded war along with the Mujahidden leading to the retreat of the Soviet forces from Afghanistan in 1989 resulting in USSR’s disintegration.
By the time CIA ceased their funding in Afghanistan Osama had become a popular, heroic and a charismatic personality not only in Afghanistan but among many Muslim nations. This reputation helped him form Al Qaeda, a Jihadi organization. This was something US could not tolerate and after some extremely serious dramas involving a couple of planes hitting the WTC, USA attacked Afghanistan to supposedly capture Osama Bin Laden who was allegedly killed this year on May the 2nd in Abbottabad (which I sincerely doubt) .
Talking about Zia ul Haq seems a bit inappropriate here because he had not been directly killed by the American forces yet he was someone who protected America's interests in Pakistan with great zeal.
First of all, the USA wanted to get rid of a famous political figure in not only Pakistan but in the whole world , i.e. Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto, a man who was a serious threat to their interests in this region, a man who was trying to establish a strong Muslim block to protect their interests in the best possible manner. It was Bhutto who started Pakistan's atomic programme and was threatened in a letter by Kissinger that he would be killed (The letter was shown publically by Bhutto in his speeches and can still be seen today).
General Zia on one hand fulfilled this "responsibility "and hanged Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto in an attempted murder case and on the other hand used ISI to accomplish the Soviet defeat in Afghanistan . By than he had become strong enough and in Pakistan it is generally believed that the bomb in his jet was indeed planted by CIA. (Allah knows better)
CONCLUSIONS: In view of the aforementioned facts, it is evident that after the failure to find WMD’s in Iraq Saddam Hussain was used as a scapegoat. Similarly US failed to prevent terrorist attacks in Afghanistan and Osama was used to cover the failure. In case of Zia he just became too powerful for them to be "handled"

Now here we have the same old thing, but with a new name, i.e. the HAQQANI NETWORK
First of all it is necessary to see who is Haqqani and where did he come from??
This network, known as Haqqani network is being led by Jalal ud-din Haqqani. Jalal ud-din Haqqani is no different from the militant commanders who fought against Soviets in JIHAD and gathered all the funds and weapons necessary from Saudis, other gulf nations and especially USA.
During the Soviet-Afghan war, Haqqani had strong links with the American and Pakistani Intelligence agencies and got all the support for this Jihad. He established his stronghold in three eastern provinces of Afghanistan Paktia,Paktika and Khost . After the war the major militant commanders fought each other for the coveted government he preferred to remain in control of his three province stronghold.
Mathew DuPee, a research associate at Naval Postgraduate School said that that Haqqani governed the places fairly and there was no looting or robberies. Indeed when Taliban took over in 1990s they incorporated Haqqani into their movement because he was all too powerful for them to handle.
MATTHEW DUPEE:
“And by the time they reached the eastern fringes of the country in 1995, 1996, they basically franchised Haqqani into their movement. Because they knew he was entirely too powerful to take on militarily speaking. So he basically begrudgingly accepted their offer to a truce, and they offered him a ministry position, which he eventually took.”
Keeping in view this thing we should definitely understand that Jalalud-din Haqqani has been backed by both, USA’s CIA and Pakistan’s ISI during the Soviet Afghan war.
Then why is the United States blaming only Pakistan??? Why don’t they look into their own collars first?
Pakistan is a nation that whole heartedly supported US and NATO in this war against terror. The day Pakistan announced its full support to US in war against terror, she turned her masses against her. The Taliban groups attacked Pakistani soldiers for being an American ally as it is their belief that it is JIHAD to attack anyone who is helping their enemy, an INFIDEL in their words.
Apart from the services offered directly in war, Pakistan:
1. Lost 5000 soldiers fighting this war.
2. Got 10000 civilians wounded
3. Lost 35000 in suicide attacks
4. Suffered an economic loss of about 35 billion dollars. A developing country can never bear this loss.
5. Even fell morally to support NATO and handed over the ambassador of Afghanistan Mullah Muhammad Zaeif to US. He was taken to Guantanamo Bay and released in 2005.
I believe it was all wrong to support that US so fully but now if we have supported them so much, what have we got in return???
1. Threats???
2. Orders of 'DO MORE'???
3. Refusal from IMF???
This is what Pakistan gets on supporting the cause of WAR AGAINST TERROR???
Peter Thompson (US special envoy and ambassador of Afghanistan from 1982-1992) agreed that he was a client to both ISI and CIA.
So why blame Pakistan alone??? When he had been our client we are sure to have connections with him and so does the United States. Indeed US has even better connections as it is clearly evident from Siraj ud din Haqqani's interview to Reuters:
He said that that we have been offered key positions in the government but we shall not agree to that. It is another way to divide us. We shall accept every decision made by the Shura members for future of Afghanistan. On being asked a question about links in Pakistan he said that "Gone are the days when we were hiding in the mountains along the Pakistan-Afghan border. Now we consider ourselves more secure in Afghanistan besides the Afghan people. Senior military and police officials are with us” .
So what is it??? Hypocrisy of US and NATO??? One one side, they are continuously pressing their wartime ally Pakistan to attack Haqqani, and on the other, negotiating with Haqqani???
America is behaving no different from the BRITISH EMPIRE, that sent 4000 troops to Afghanistan to capture it but were crushed. Similarly Obama send about 30000 more troops to Afghanistan on advice of Gen. Patrias . Now the plan seems failed and America is looking for someone to blame on and unfortunately it is Pakistan. America should change her approach towards Pakistan and adopt a more friendly approach. If they continue like this things are definitely going to be bad for this war on terror.
THE ABSOLUTE VERDICT:
It is time the USA agrees to Pakistan’s co-operation in this war against terror and trust Pakistan as its ally otherwise US must remember the Vietnam War. This mistrust will lead US to nothing and an utter failure in Afghanistan. US should look towards Pakistan as a friend not as a scapegoat.

An excellent article! I must say you should seriously think about writing in Daily Dawn and other prestigious newspapers.
Like all the other sensible, i always think that war against terror is not our war, America has pushed us into this war.American government is every time cunning enough ti push others into war against terror, that only lead them to series of losses and threats. I wish Mushy had become bold enough to straightforwardly spit at Bush's face at the time he asked Pakistan's hand for his so called peace war!
very nice effort ! really got into the topic !
and you are right, the poor decisions of Pakistani leaders took us into today's position , G. Zia ul Haq was a Pakistani after all , we were used as a puppet by Americans and still are , with every passing day its getting clearer and clearer , feeling much sorry to see that.
Yeah so much things that cannot be undone now.
Thank you for the kind comments Reebz and Phoenix. :)
I hope our nation wakes up and works positively to save the nation from falling any further.
We've been misused to carry out the plans of the interests of others, at the expense of the blood of our people.
this is a slam-dunk for the writer :)
